Hi,
I have VMWare Workstation 10 and have VMs (Win2K3, Win2K8, WinXP and Win7 Pro) running in both NAT and Bridged networking
without any problems. I wanted to test ESXi and have created ESXi 4.1 as a VM in Workstation 10, edited the Network Settings in
the machine and selected Bridged Networking.
I am able to ping the ESXi from the PC running the WS10 and am able to run the VSphere client from either the PC running as
the host of WS10 or even from one of the WS10 client VMs (Win7 VM) but I am not able to connect to the ESXi from other
computers on the wired network.
I verified the IP and DNS settings on the VM ESXi are correct, also have enabled Promiscous mode on the ESXi Network
Adapters, Virtual Switch, Port Group but still not able to connect to the VM ESXi using other computers on the network...
Is bridged networking not supported on the ESXi running on WS10?
